CM Orders Immediate Preparations
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi directed the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to start the scooter distribution program.
He also ordered the immediate notification of three important bodies:
- Steering Committee
- Technical Working Group
- Grievance Redressal Committee
These committees will be responsible for overseeing different aspects of the scheme, dealing with technical and administrative matters, and addressing complaints related to implementation.
Free Scooters Program Will Expand to Other Districts
The initiative will not remain limited to Peshawar.
Officials told the meeting that the program is planned to expand to other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a later stage.
This means women living outside Peshawar could also benefit once the government moves beyond the initial phase.
