Oppo has expanded its K-series smartphone lineup in China with the launch of the Oppo K15s and Oppo K15x, two new mid-range phones that put giant batteries first. The K15s packs a massive 8,000mAh battery, while the more affordable K15x carries a 6,500mAh battery — both well above what most phones in this price range offer.
The two phones join the K15, K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ in Oppo’s mid-tier range, and they are priced to attract budget buyers: the K15x starts at around $206, while the K15s starts at around $250.
Oppo K15s Price and Key Specifications
The Oppo K15s is the higher-end of the two. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A 4,300mm² vapour chamber keeps the phone cool during gaming and heavy use.
The biggest highlight is its 8,000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging — Oppo says it keeps 80% capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, about seven years of normal use. The phone also has IP68, IP69 and IP69K rugged ratings.
On the front is a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (2372 x 1080) with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness and an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. For photography, it has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera.
Oppo K15x Price and Key Specifications
The more affordable Oppo K15x runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It uses a larger 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display (1570 x 720) with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,125 nits of peak brightness.
It packs a 6,500mAh battery with the same 45W SuperVOOC charging, which Oppo says keeps over 80% capacity after 1,800 charge cycles — about six years of normal use. Durability is handled with an IP64 rating and Oppo’s diamond anti-drop architecture. Cameras include a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. Unlike the K15s, the K15x drops NFC, but it keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack and adds expandable storage. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor handles unlocking.
